Photo: Inuit day-campers learn about Inuksuit with Jenga

By NUNATSIAQ NEWS

Dion Metcalfe uses Jenga tiles July 23 to explain how Inuksuit are never symmetrical like how they're often portrayed in popular culture. These Inuit children are attending a free day camp offered by the Ottawa Inuit Children's Centre. The camps — one week in July and one week in August — offer urban Inuit families an opportunity for their children to socialize with other Inuit, brush up on their Inuktitut, play games and sports, do crafts and maybe learn a little hip hop dancing. Read more about the camp later, on nunatsiaqonline.ca. (PHOTO BY LISA GREGOIRE)
