Anna-Marie Cartwright, the Pauktuutit board member who represents urban Inuit women in Montreal, showed this button, produced by Quebec Native Women Inc., to other board members at Pauktuutit's annual general meeting May 12 during a discussion on the forced prostitution and human trafficking of Inuit women. On May 13, the Pauktuutit board passed a resolution that says they will work with other Aboriginal organizations and governments at all levels to develop a targeted Inuit-specific plan to help prevent the sexual exploitation of Inuit women and youth and to help those who are already involved in the sex trade.
