Photo: Inukjuak kids welcome space-talk

A talk to people in outer space doesn’t happen every day: students at Innalik school in Inukjuak sit in the school gym April 11 when students spoke via radio to the International Space Station. The call had been set up by ARISS, an international educational outreach program partnering with the participating space agencies, which offers students like those in Inukjuak a chance to experience “the excitement of amateur radio” by talking directly with crewmembers on-board the ISS.
