Iqaluit deals with its first major fire of 2018: a blaze that began in the night of Monday, Jan. 1 ravaged a multi-plex along the Apex Road near Joamie School and left several households homeless. The fire also led to the cancellation of school on Tuesday morning at Joamie and Aqsarniit schools as well as the child care centre Petits Nanooks due to water being shut off.
