Photo: Iqaluit’s artificial turf gets end-of-season work-out

Young soccer player Hayden Hickey is chased down by Luke Cornthwaite at the Arctic Winter Games’ artificial turf during this past weekend’s Nunavut Soccer Camp in Iqaluit. Soccer is “developing at an increasing rate” in Iqaluit, said the city’s director of recreation, Amy Elgersma, largely due to the addition of the $150,000 turf.
