Photo: Iqalungmiut flock to annual ornament sale at NAC

Preparations for the Christmas season got off to a roaring start at Nunavut Arctic College in Iqaluit, Nov. 28, where Iqalungmiut packed the lobby at the end of the day to snap up all-original holiday ornaments by 14 students in the college’s two jewelry and metalwork classes. “This means a lot to the students who’ve been working hard in the last two weeks, coming up with designs and producing their work,” said Beata Hejnowicz, who heads up the classes. Within 15 minutes, the tables were nearly bare. (PHOTO BY PETER VARGA)
