You can follow the journey that Nunavik dog teams will make during the Ivakkak race and see all the mushers’ name on this spectacular cake made by Rosina Kajuatsiak of Kangiqsualujjuaq, who won $300 for her creation at a March 11 community event. The Ivakkak teams, set to leave Kangiqsualujjuaq March 12, will now depart March 13, weather permitting, for Kangirsuk, 650 kilometres away. (PHOTO BY PASCAL POULIN)
