Photo: Jay Gilday plays his first concert in Iqaluit

Singer-songwriter Jay Gilday plays for a crowd that packed into the Tisi at Inuksuk High School Jan. 18 in his first ever concert in Nunavut. Gilday, originally from Yellowknife but based in Edmonton, played new and old songs for the crowd, and even joined in with Iqaluit band The Trade-offs — who opened for Gilday — at the end of the concert. He'll be playing at Rankin Inlet's Simon Allaituq School Jan. 23. (PHOTO BY DAVID MURPHY)
