Canadian singer-songwriter Joel Plaskett with his band, the Joel Plaskett Emergency, will visit Iqaluit next fall to play his first gig in the territory, Alianait Arts Festival announced this week. The Nova Scotia-bred musician and Juno award winner will play Oct. 3 and Oct. 4. The location has yet to be announced, but tickets will cost $24 in advance, $27 at the door, and will be free for elders and children under the age of 12.
