Iqaluit city councillor Kenny Bell’s son soaks his dad with a little help from his uncle at the balloon splash event held Sept. 28 at the Iqaluit Rotary Club’s annual fall fair. “It’s cold!” Bell yelled after getting soaked the first time. “It’s really crowded and it’s a really fun day for the whole family,” said Rotary Club member Heather Daley. “We’re selling lots of tickets and there’s lots of happy faces winning prizes.” Daley said the fair has been held every year for 25 years. Nunavut premier Eva Aariak and Iqaluit mayor John Graham also got soaked. The money raised by the event will be donated to the Inuksuk High School graduation class. (PHOTO BY DAVID MURPHY)
