Flanked by members of his executive, Kitikmeot Inuit Association president Charlie Evalik opens the first day of the group’s three-day annual general meeting in Cambridge Bay on Oct. 18. According to audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2011, the KIA remains in a “very strong financial position” after “another strong year,” despite reductions in its annual transfer of money from Nunavut Tunngavik Inc..
