Photo: Kimmirut residents walk and run for diabetes

Get those feet moving: The Northern Store, in partnership with Qaqqalik School in Kimmirut, sponsored a diabetes run in that community June 13. Participants of all ages came out to walk or run the five-kilometre route which went from the school, up to the community centre, and back. Those who came out — at least 75 in all — received a certificate and a medal for their efforts, and they got to feast on hamburgers and juice boxes at the finish line. (PHOTO BY SARAH MCMAHON)
