Cadets with the Kativik Regional Police Force returned this week from a visit to the Pingualuit provincial park, located about 80 kilometres from the community of Kangiqsujuaq. Building life skills, strength and self-confidence are among the goals of a new cadet program launched last year by the KRPF. From July 11 to 15, 29 cadets from Kangiqsualujjuaq, Kuujjuaq, Quaqtaq, Inukjuak and Puvirnituq walked around the Pingualuit crater and reached the Puvirnituq River.
