Photo: Kuujjuaq celebrates its athletes

Kuujjuamiut celebrated their local athletes during an April 7 parade, featuring athletes who took part in this year’s Arctic Winter Games, hockey players with the Nunavik Nordiks and Kuujjuaq Umimmaks and mushers from the 2014 edition of Ivakkak. The parade left the Kuujjuaq Forum, winding through the community before it ended up at the Katittavik Town Hall, where the northern village hosted its inaugural Citizenship Awards.
