A student at Jaanimmarik high school in Kuujjuaq cleans seal skin with the guidance of a local elder March 22, as part of the school’s culture day. The school revived the once-annual cultural celebration this year, offering sewing and beading workshops, Inuit and Dene games, bannock, pitsik and tea-making classes and story-telling to the school population.
