Photo: Kuujjuaq hosts AWG regional trials this weekend

Team Nunavik-Québec’s Chef de mission Nancianne Grey welcomed Nunavik athletes to Kuujjuaq Nov. 22 at a kick-off ceremony to the Arctic Winter Games regional trials. Young athletes from across the region will be competing in cross country skiing, snowshoeing, tables tennis, badminton and Inuit Games this weekend, with hopes to secure a spot on Team Nunavik-Québec, which heads to the 2014 AWG in Fairbanks, Alaska next March.
