Photo: Kuujjuaq’s giant mural

Two volunteers work on a giant mural at the municipal office in Kuujjuaq last month. The image was designed by local artists: Eva Lepage and Matthew Annahatak and coordinated by a group of volunteers from the Nunavik Regional Board of Health and Social Services. Overall, it took 130 volunteers and 15,000 pieces of hand-cut tesserae to complete the mural, now on display at the northern village office. (PHOTO COURTESY OF SUZANNE BETTEZ)
