Photo: Kuujjuaq’s new church under construction

Construction on the new Anglican church in Kuujjuaq is well underway Nov. 27. The current St. Stephen’s Anglican church is almost 40 years old and has been plagued with foundation and flooding issues in recent years. Local and regional organizations helped to raise the necessary $4 million to build the new 210-seat church. It’s set to open in March 2018. (PHOTO BY SARAH ROGERS)
