Photo: Kuujjuaq’s seamstresses enjoy fabric donation

First Air and Canada Goose have teamed up to donate unused fabric to communities in Nunavik and Nunavut, and on Nov. 5, the companies held a donation event in Kuujjuaq, handing out three metres of fabric, a zipper and material for wrist cuffs to every one who showed up at the arena. Jessie Mesher and Louisa Yeates, from the NV of Kuujjuaq Recreation Dept. along with Dolly Mesher helped to hand out fabric to hundreds of Kuujjuammiut.
