Photo: Looking for love in the darkness

Light painting: Kangiqsujuaq youth Lydia Kiatainaq, Kaudjak Alaku, Madeline Yaaka and Matiilita Tukkiapik each draw the shape of the letters that make up the word “love” in this long exposure shot taken by fellow student Jamie Yaaka. Students in the Nunavik community learned photography techniques from a group of university students who spent a week there Feb. 15-19, using the therapeutic qualities of art to talk about mental health.
