Photo: Manitoba and Nunavut renew MOU

Nunavut Premier Peter Taptuna, Culture and Heritage Minister George Kuksuk and Manitoba Premier Greg Selinger view some of the Inuit art housed at the Winnipeg Art Gallery’s vault Nov. 19. Both governments renewed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding the same morning, which commits Nunavut and Manitoba to collaborate on a number of files, including health and energy policy and culture. As part of the agreement, both governments have agreed to fund a project with the gallery to digitize its Inuit art collection, the largest in the world. Read more later at Nunatsiaqonline.ca.
