Photo: Meet the King and Queen of Pitakallak’s Carnival

King Pierre Lavigne (left) and Queen Sonia Gordon (right) ride in the back of a pick-up truck March 25 during the parade held through Kuujjuaq to launch Pitakallak elementary school’s winter carnival. Teachers at the school had submitted the names of their students with best behaviour, with two boys and 10 girls nominated.
