Franco Buscemi of Iqaluit, the MC for Tungasuvvingat Inuit’s 2015 spring equinox celebration in Ottawa this past March 20, gazes out over a big gathering of Inuit who flocked to the Bronson Centre Theatre for the event. “I haven’t seen so many Inuit in one place since I was at the casino last night,” Buscemi joked. “But they don’t have patik there yet.” About 500 Ottawa Inuit, along with many friends and family members, enjoyed the music of The Jerry Cans, Saali and the Ravenhearts, Brian Tagalik, and students from Nunavut Sivuniksavut.
