Mary Wilman assumed the title of mayor of Iqaluit, Nov. 25, after having served more than six months as acting mayor. Council appointed her as mayor at a regular meeting. Councillors also appointed Coun. Romeyn Stevenson, right, to Wilman’s former position as deputy mayor, and Simon Nattaq, left, as alternate deputy mayor on Wilman’s recommendation.
