Alice Wong, federal minister of State (seniors), third from left, meets with representatives of groups in Iqaluit Nov. 2 to discuss how the government can do better in supporting the well-being of seniors “especially encouraging senior citizens to stay informed about services and programs.” Wendy Ireland, the executive director of the Nunavummi Disabilities Makinnasuaqtiit Society, who met with Wong, said she wanted to let the minister know about the importance of seniors with disabilities being involved in their communities.
