Meet Nunavut’s newest cabinet minister, Iqaluit West MLA Monica Ell. MLAs elected her on the morning of May 2 in just one ballot, choosing her over Nattilik MLA Jeannie Ugyuk and Pangnirtung MLA Hezakiah Oshutapik. Ell will fill a spot vacated this past November by Rankin Inlet North MLA Tagak Curley.
