Photo: NAHO report hones in on child welfare

Child welfare services for Inuit children and their families need better support, says a new report prepared by Inuit Tuttarvingat, the Inuit section of the National Aboriginal Health Organization. The report, called “Inuit Child Welfare and Family Support,” gathered input from a number of health and social service workers from across the country’s Inuit regions, who said gaps in the social services system mean too many Inuit children are being taken from their homes.
