Iqaluit musician Nancy Mike of the Jerry Cans has been nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award. Mike, the well-known accordion player for the Iqaluit four-piece band, also known as Pai Gaalakkut in Inuktitut, has been nominated in the category of Aboriginal Songwriter of the Year for her work on the band's 2013 album Nunavuttitut.
