Photo: National Youth Arts Week kicks off in Iqaluit

By SPECIAL TO NUNATSIAQ NEWS

Kids have a blast as National Youth Arts Week kicks off May 1 in Iqaluit with paint-balling on canvas. The fun continues May 3, 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Iqaluit Centennial Library. There, kids can learn about colour, composition and style, then add their colours to the National Youth Arts Week t-shirt — and bring it home. Some of the week’s events also include comic book illustrating with artist Babah Kalluk on May 4 and the creation of a giant mural May 5.
