Colin Suppa, who was awarded the brand new Lorne Whiteley Trophy for the most valuable player for his team in the league's playoffs, stands next to Lorne Whiteley April 22 at the Kuujjuaq Hockey Gala in the Katittavik town hall auditorium. Whiteley, since his retirement from the Kativik School Board’s maintenance department, works at the Kuujjuaq Forum, making sure things run smoothly at the arena. Whiteley also trains youth on how to sharpen skates and ensures the hockey equipment is clean. As well Whiteley maintains an outdoor hockey rink in Kuujjuaq.
