Iqaluit filmmaker and storyteller Qajaaq Ellsworth is working to develop an interactive storybook/game and learning application designed for Inuit children aged 3-7. Ilinniarnaqsivuq or Time for School, pictured here, is an interactive storybook that will guide children through a day at school, teaching them about colours, numbers, syllabics/alphabet, animals and weather – all in three different languages: Inuktitut, Inuinnaqtun and English. Ellsworth hopes the app will be available online by April 2012. (SUBMITTED IMAGE)
