Kangiqsujuaq, shown here May 30, will see the construction of 28 new one-bedroom units and 12 four-bedroom houses which will help reduce its need for 91 new units. Kangiqsujuaq was among six communities slated to receive a share of the 150 new social housing units to be built in Nunavik in 2014, as determined May 30 at the meeting of Kativik Regional Government councillors in Kangiqsujuaq. The distribution of housing was made according to needs established in a new housing needs survey.
