Renowned Newfoundland singer-songwriter Ron Hynes performs at Inuksuk High School in Iqaluit Nov. 8 to a near-capacity audience made up largely, it seemed, of expatriates from his home province. The concert, part of the Alianait Arts Festival series, opened with Pangnirtung musician Tim Evic — who sang entirely in Inuktitut — before Hynes, the “man of a thousand songs,” took to the stage.
