How to amuse yourself in a blizzard: Makaia and Oliiktoak of Cambridge Bay sit Jan. 7 on a shed near their Cambridge Bay home which they reached by using snow banks to climb up. Schools, offices and municipal services were closed Jan. 7 due to the blizzard which Environment Canada said Jan. 8 would continue “with gusty winds and persistent visibility near zero in snow and blowing snow,” and windchills of -42 C.
