The Northern Premiers’ Forum, a meeting among the three premiers of the three territories in Canada, wrapped up June 27 in Iqaluit. Bob McLeod of the Northwest Territories, Eva Aariak of Nunavut, and Darrell Pasloski of Yukon discussed a host of topics such as: the Arctic Council, northern search and rescue, Nutrition North Canada, northern residents’ deduction, health funding, infrastructure and northern economic development, resource industry training, devolution, and the Canadian energy strategy.
