Danny Ishulutak of Pangnirtung, Katrina Hatogina of Kugluktuk, Jennifer Kilabuk of Iqaluit and Valerie Kogvik of Gjoa Haven were among the new crop of Nunavut Sivuniksavut students who attended this week’s “From Eskimo to Inuit in 40 years” conference in Ottawa. For the NS students from Nunavut, the conference provided a first-hand look at many of the Inuit leaders, past and present, whose names frequently come up during their classes on recent Inuit history.
