Photo: NS students get topsy-turvy

Nunavut Sivuniksavut students Jayco Akoak from Iqaluit, Kathryn Misheralak from Rankin Inlet and Ipellie Ootoova from Pond Inlet took a day off classes recently. While the instructors had a PD day, students went to the Canadian Museum of Science and Technology. Here they try to navigate through the museum’s “crazy kitchen,” where visitors experience spatial distortion — a bizarre sensation caused when the body’s balance-sensing organs send contradicting messages to the brain.
