Qalingo Saviadjuk, a mining employment officer from Kangisujuaq, talks about the challenges of moving Nunavimmiut into mining sector jobs at a meeting of the Kativik Regional Government's regional council Feb. 25. The KRG presented its mining strategy to councillors, called Kautaapikkut, which aims to grow Inuit employment in the region's mines over the next five to 10 years, with a focus on women and youth.
