Tukasie Cookie-Brown of Kuujjuaraapik and Annie Mary Anowak of Umiujaq celebrate passing their Firefighters 1 Training at a ceremony in Puvirnituq last November. Earning that certification is no easy feat — it required 300 hours of training and testing both in and outside of the region.
