Photo: Nunavimmiut at the polls

Nikita Etok voted in her first election Jan. 19 when she cast a ballot in the Makivik Corp. presidential election Thursday afternoon in Kangiqsualujjuaq. Nunavimmiut went to the polls and elected Kativik Regional Government director general Jobie Tukkiapik, who unseated long-time president Pita Aatami by only 23 votes.
