Fries with that? About a dozen people came out for the official opening of Iqaluit’s own food truck, the Nanook Express, Aug. 31 at 4:30 p.m. Patrons can choose from the usual fast foods — burgers, pogos, fish and chips, and poutine. Owner Dallas Letemplier is hoping to keep it running until November or early December. Letemplier had planned to open earlier this summer but has been waiting on a food shipment. “Went to Arctic Ventures to get potatoes so we’d have fries,” Letemplier said Aug. 31, adding once winter is over, he hopes Nanook Express will open again in April.
