Photo: Nunavut government releases “Resiliency Within” suicide plan

The plan — developed in a partnership that includes representatives from the Government of Nunavut, the Nunavut RCMP, the Embrace Life Council and NTI — lays out initiatives under eight commitments, and includes a process to review progress. GN Minister Monica Ell-Kanayuk was also named as the minister responsible for suicide prevention March 7. She takes over the file from Iqaluit-Sinaa MLA Paul Okalik who resigned from cabinet March 4.
