Photo: Nunavut Quest mushers expected to cross finish line today

Teman Avingaq arrives at Pingujiniit, the final camp of Nunavut Quest, the annual North Baffin dog mushing race from Pond Inlet to Arctic Bay. Eleven teams are competing this year in the 500-km race, hailing from Pond Inlet, Clyde River, Arctic Bay and Igloolik. Mushers, who cover about 80 kilometres per day, are expected to depart Pingujiniit April 27, just after noon, and cross the finish line today, in Arctic Bay.
