Photo: Nunavut’s firefighters, the most “Sportsman-like” in Canada

The Nunavut firefighters team, made up of firefighters Norman Qavvik (Team Captain), Cody Evaloakjuk,  Troy Innukshuk,  George Aksadjuak, Jollie Enoogoo and Randy Idlout won the Most Sportsman Like Team award at a competition held Aug. 20 in Winnipeg by the Aboriginal Firefighters Association of Canada. Coaches Fred Morrison and Paul Kowmageak accompanied the team. The association also sent a message of sympathy to first responders involved with the flight 6560 crash that day in Resolute Bay.
