Photo: Nunavut’s national flower coming to a hillside near you

Like a miracle it happens every year… With patches of snow still melting along the Apex trail in Iqlauit and saturating the tundra with moisture, southern regions of Nunavut are starting to bloom. This saxifrage, with its rich fuschia colour, was easy to spot along the shoreline June 4 but fuzzy gray Arctic willow was also evident, if you stopped to take a look. (PHOTO BY LISA GREGOIRE)
