Photo: Nunavut’s NDP candidate makes it official

Nunavut’s New Democratic Party candidate, Jack Anawak, along with his official agent, Kathula Matshazi, files papers Sept. 12 in Iqaluit to make his candidacy official. Although it’s well into the federal election campaign, candidates have until Sept. 28 to file nomination papers. In Nunavut, the only other two confirmed candidates are Hunter Tootoo for the Liberals and incumbent Conservative MP Leona Aglukkaq. Voters head to the polls Oct. 19.
