Photo: Nutrition North hearing continues in Iqaluit

Cambridge Bay’s Wilfred Wilcox, left, chairperson of the Nutrition North Canada Advisory Board and Stephen Van Dine of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada continued to meet with Nunavut’s MLAs at the legislative assembly in Iqaluit on Oct. 25. The Nutrition North officials are fielding questions from MLAs on the program as part of a special meeting of the full caucus. Wilcox told MLAs that the program has brought improvements to the Kitikmeot region. “It’s brought a wider variety of fresh produce, but it’s not without its challenges.” The meeting was open to the public during the afternoon of Oct. 25.
