Photo: Olympians arrive in Kangiqsualujjuaq

Julia St-Aubin, 17, and Andréa Brazeau,16, ride on a dog-team-pulled komatik into the Nunavik community of Kangiqsualujjuaq April 3 with Clara Hughes, a Canadian cyclist and speed skater, who has won multiple Olympic medals in both sports. In her hands: the cup won last month by the Nunavik Nordiks in Ottawa. Hughes, along with former NHL-player and Olympic medal-winner Joé Juneau and Benoit Lamarche, also a former speed-skating Olympic medal-winner, are in Kangiqsualujjuaq for bantam hockey tournament and meetings with youth.
