Photo: On the lookout for bears

Despite warnings to stay away from the area, Iqalungmiut gathered along the city’s causeway July 16 in search of a polar bear spotted wandering through town earlier in the day. But visitors left without a glimpse of the animal. Residents of the Plateau neighbourhood saw a polar bear lumber by during the lunch hour, which reportedly continued heading west towards the causeway.
