Photo: Pancakes and a side of legal information, please

Food for thought: more than 50 people attended a breakfast Feb. 7 co-hosted by the Nunavut’s Law Society and Maliiganik Tukisiiniakvik at Iqaluit’s Francophone Centre. The breakfast — where attendees gobbled up hundreds of pancakes, 10 pounds of bacon and nearly 200 breakfast sausages — included the law society’s “Access to Knowledge” launch, a campaign to deliver more legal information to Nunavummiut. The Law Society distributed an information sheet on elders’ legal rights and Maliiganik lawyers were on hand to answer any legal questions that people might have. (PHOTO BY THOMAS ROHNER)
